About Angelo Kirchon
The person you will work with.
Angelo Kirchon, Ph.D. is the founder and principal of Industrial Frontier. His career sits where technical development meets operations, where science has to become equipment, facilities, people, processes, supply chains, and commercial output.
He was employee number seven at EnergyX, the direct lithium extraction company, rising from Director of Research to Senior Director of Operations as the company went from a lab result to two pilot and two demonstration facilities in the U.S. and Chile and a new headquarters and laboratory. He then led operations and business development at TerraFirma, a robotics company for heavy civil construction, through its seed round and its $100M Series A led by Kleiner Perkins.
He holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Texas A&M, where he researched metal organic frameworks for gas storage and separations, and is a graduate of the Virginia Military Institute. He writes weekly briefings on lithium, mining, and water technology and advises investment teams through expert networks.
He runs Industrial Frontier from Austin, Texas, working with a small number of companies at a time.
